The Asians are now demonstrating a heightened love of fine wine, more than they ever have before. Hong kong is quickly becoming the center of the wine trading industry, as more and more Chinese choose to purchase fine wines. It is even becoming a concern for some in the Western World, as there are currently less vintages available for purchase in some areas outside of China.
At a recent wine auction that was held in China, some of the country’s elitists came to profit from and experience the wine industry greats. Many people did not even understand the rules of wine bidding, and they needed to be taught before commencing the sale. Just after, costs for bottles of fine wine were exploding sky high, and those with deep pockets were taking home some of the finest vintages in the world for massive profits. It was clear after the intensely successful auction that China now has a taste for the grape. Wine collectors and wineries are growing up all across the land, and shortly China is anticipated to have the largest wine trade in the whole world.
For Western wine collectors this is causing much excitement. If China rules the wine world, less fine wine is going to be imported and provided to other bits of the world, including America. Nonetheless there are others who are elated about such a high demand for wine in China. For those collectors intending to have 1 or 2 bottles taken off their hands, or who would adore making some extra money, they see this transition as a chance. As an example, selling a rare or really old bottle of wine to someone in China could mean much more money than it would collect if selling the same bottle in America, or Europe. Whatever the situation one thing is clear : China has developed a new-found love for wine!
